    This site has information about the state-sponsored Smiles for Children program. It contains information about applying for FAMIS, including by phone and online.

    This website has a preliminary screening for financial assistance programs administered by VDSS. Enrollment typically means visiting a local social services’ office. For a listing of local departments of social services, visit www.dss.virginia.gov/localagency. These departments can help someone enroll in Medicaid and FAMIS as well as other benefit programs.

    The Virginia Primary Care Association website includes listings of community health centers, migrant health centers, and health care for the homeless programs throughout the state of Virginia.
